Dearest Lauri and Mary, I am so saddened by news of the loss of your mother. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and all the other children and especially with your father at this difficult time. May the Lord strengthen and comfort you as you move through this dark passage; and may he help you to find a measure of peace in knowing that your mother lives on .. in and through each of you .. and shall do so in all generations to come. My love to all, jb

Mr. Straney and family, I am so sorry to hear about your wife, mother and grandmother. It has been many years since we have seen each other but I have often thought of you and wondered if you were still in the Rome area. I often think of our stage band ,marching band and all the music you used to put together for us at West Leyden School. I will be thinking of you at this difficult time. I remember that you, Patty, and your son visited us at camp one summer. How the years go by.

To Jim and Family, Always used to see Mr. & Mrs. Straney for coffee when they lived in Rome. They were sadly missed when they moved nearer their children, but not forgotten. My Dad, who was a musician, along with Jim, used to musically entertain back in their hey-days. My deepest sympathy to the family for a tremendous loss.

To Jim and Children and to Nancy: Our condolences on your great loss. The Straneys and Kerins were our neighbors in Rome and Jim had built the house we lived in. Pat was a very gracious lady who always had a smile and hello whenever we saw her. Her work on this earth is now over and she can enjoy the Eternal Salvation God has rewarded her for being a 'good and faithful servant.' Sincerely, Jim and Terry Dooher
