Obituary of Thomas J. Moskin

Thomas J. Moskin, age 58, of the Town of Western, passed away June 25, 2016. He was born March 17, 1958, in Rome, a son of Michael J., Sr., and Marie Kowalchuck Moskin, and graduated from Holland Patent Central School in 1976. Tom was a third generation farmer on the family farm in the Town of Western. He also worked for many years at Rome Memorial Hospital. Tom enjoyed many activities including riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, and collecting sports cars. He also was an avid hunter and a lover of horses. Tom is survived by his parents, Mike and Marie; three sisters and brothers in law, Margaret "Peg" and Douglas Henderson of Holland Patent, Debbie and Don Roberts of Rome, and Andrea and Niel Kuhner of Heber, UT; a brother and sister in law, Michael Jr., and Sally Moskin of Ava; and a niece and two nephews, Renee Matt, Phillip Moskin and Zachary Roberts. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 3 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Tom.
