So sad to hear Kat is gone from this earth. I met her when she was traveling and we discovered we shared the exact birthday. She was so giving, friendly, and wonderfully quirky and funny. She will be missed by so many. Hugs to all that loved her.

I knew Susan, who we called Kat through a mutual women’s camping group. One of the Fab Five, Lover of Travel and Adventure, And my Quidditch Competitor! I met Kat when she joined up with a small band of women who decided to travel together. Kat quickly became one of my favorite travel companions and a confidant who was present when I met and fell in love with my wife. She encouraged me, as we sat around the fire in the evenings, to follow my heart and cancel my travel plans (which included leaving her behind with our small caravan of women) and follow Pamela White to Ohio so we could begin a life together! In fact, Kat was the one who exlaimed “You two like each other” with a sly grin and a clap of her hands, followed by “I KNEW it!!” She battled an illness with bravery and never let it stop her from that trip! She was one of those women who had a great soul and great passion! Kat, my friend, Thanks for the wonderful memories! I will miss you!
