Jimmy and I spent many, many hours and days together hunting and fishing. Some of my very best memories of my youth include Jimmy. He had a fantastic sense of humor and a contagious laugh to go with it. We trudged miles thru snow, and water up to our waists in search of big bucks and big trout.
We hauled firewood hour after hour, worked in his barn, and worked alongside my dad doing a variety of chores at our camp in Lewis county. Mom and Dad were very fond of Jimmy and the whole Christman family, as we all were. They were just like family to us.
Hal, Char, Julie, Mary Jo and I send our deepest condolences to everyone who loved Jimmy. Soon enough,we will all be together again in Christ, and what a glorious day that will be! Until then, I will remember a larger than life guy who had a profoundly positive impact on my life and the lives of so many others.

Jimmy was a great childhood friend! We were all pretty poor and one time I had literally broken the piggy bank to buy bread and milk at the local grocery store. The guy who was working the counter would not take my change and I came home empty handed. I ran into Jimmy on the way home and gave him a lift home. Told him the story of the guy who wouldn't take my change for groceries. Jimmy said'" turn around, we're going back". Then Jimmy stood there while I counted out my change for groceries and the guy did not give him any trouble. Every time I think of that, it makes me smile. He was such a good egg.

Jim was our next door neighbor at Deruyter Lake for a number of years. When we bought the place next door to him, Jim was very welcoming. He was a generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. We shared many great times at the lake and at our Saturday night campfires. We missed Jim when he moved to Vietnam and are so sad to learn of his passing. We are sure Jim is racing through heaven on the fastest of speedboats! Our condolences go out to his family.

Jimmy was one of a kind. He was very hard working but a little stubborn and a bit of a wild child, but brought some humor to our household (whether is was intentional or not). Rest in peace, we love you! Your sis, Julie & Dennis
