Dear Family: I am so sorry to hear about Anne's passing. I know that words can't erase the sorrow you are feeling at this time so I'd like to share a few scriptures that give me hope and comfort in my times of loss. John5:28-29 promises there will be a resurrection, Ps 37:29 says that we will live forever here on earth and Rev. 21:4-5 promises there will be no more pain or death. These are all promises from God that we can look forward to in the near future. I know that He doesn't take our loved ones from us and that He will reunite us again when the time is right. Again, I'm sorry about Anne and I hope that you receive the same comfort and hope that I do from God's promises in His Word, the Bible. Very sincerely, Dee Bishop

To the Family of my AFG AL-ANON Friend Anne Rice. Hi everyone. I am in Florida for the winter months and spend my summers in Norwich, NY. I have missed my friend Anne at meetings and have been praying for what God and Anne want for her life. I will miss her beautiful smile and messages of hope. I thank God that I had the honor of being Anne's friend at meetings. My prayer for you all is hope for the memories she created in her life. These memories will help you thru the difficult times. God bless you all from Dianne Raphael

What a blessing Anne was to all who knew her. She always kept in touch, sent birthday cards, and wanted to make sure we knew of her hospitalization even at the end of her life. Always thinking of others. It was my privilege (Pastor) to lead her husband, Art, to the Lord many years ago, and we were always welcomed in their home. When you think of her now, picture her in heaven with her Lord and Savior because she had trusted in Him for her salvation. She will be greatly missed by many.

Found in the front of Anne's Bible: 1John 4:12
"No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
Sounds just how she lived her life, as an example for all of us!

Mom loved to write from the depths of her heart and this poem was found just tonight. I think she wanted us to find it!
"When loved ones walk into the sunset and wave a last good-bye, and sorrow's shadows deepen, and each smile becomes a sigh; what a comfort and a solace that for them life's trials are done; eternal joy awaits them just beyond the setting sun."
Under this poem, she wrote Matthew 25:21 "...Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"

Dear Anne's Family, Anne has always been in my heart and always will be. We spent many phone conversations, letters, meetings and even dinners at undefined in Herkimer together. I remember when I first met Anne many, many 24 hours ago. I will always remember her darning socks at meetings when I first came in to the meetings. I remember her saying at that time she had been in program 30 years.(1978) I remember thinking Oh! I am not going to be in that long. Well here I am writing this and I am so grateful just like your mom to be celebrating 33 years this coming April. I remember meeting with her at the Orginal Utica meeting on Kemble Street, Episcopal Church Deverol st,Catholic Charities, Our Lady of lords and Happy Nooners Chestnut St Rome. I was a pretty hopeless case and full of tears and a lot of pain. She never gave up on me and often said to me if you can make anyone can. I think I met some of you at your moms, home when I visited her there. Our district has a composition that your mom wrote about the history of Al-Anon in district 6 and a CD rome that our New York North archivist made interviewing her about early Al-Anon in the Utica Rome Area. These two items are so treasured in our District and Area Achives. I know she is in the most wonderful place she can be now , no more pain and celebrating with Jesus. I will keep you all in my prayers until I see you at her memorial celebration in April. Love Prayers and God Bless you All Sherry Seymour Movin's AFG Mohawk, N.Y.
