Thank You for my endearing visit back home to Rome. I am sad to have had to say goodbye to Carol my sweet oldest sister whom I will always have found memories. She was loving, witty, funny, kind to everyone who knew her. I always wanted to follow her footprints for she knew what when & how to do things right. She was a shining star in my eyes and will continue to so above with the Angel's will have fond memories of her daily. I am very grateful to have been able to be with her before she departed. I learned so much from her loving heart and will cherished all the lessons she gave to me. I am sad she departed at such a young age for she had so much to offer. Like Carol would of said The best always die young! May she be remembered for her laughter, endurance and most of all hr love for her family. Ann Marie Frid & Family

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter-in-law, and friend. Carol and I were partners in neighborhood playtimes on Franklyn Street in Rome during the 1950's. We were together almost daily making forts, playing dress up, skipping rope, visiting the playground, ice skating, making snowmen and sliding down the hill next to my house. We raked leaves and jumped into the piles much to my grandpa Charlie's dismay as we messed up all the work he might have done. We were pals along with Terry "Cookie" Manfrates. Our houses were in a row. There was also Diane Rienzo who lived one house down from mine. We were really quite a crew spending many summer nights catching fireflies in jars and roasting marshmallows. It was a special time when we went to lunch at Applebee's a few years ago having "remet" one another when Donna became a student teacher in my classroom at Strough. We so intended to do it again. I am deeply saddened that it never did occur. We cannot afford to lose opportunities in our lifetimes. Cherish those memories of Carol, and she will always be there in your lives. my deepest sympathy and prayers, Joan

I worked with Carol at Cooperative Extension for almost 14 years starting in 1994. She was a great person, we had lots of interesting conversations and laughs. She had a great sense of humor and was very compassionate. My deepest sympathy to all of the family at this very difficult time.
