When I think of Uncle John the qualities that come to mind are that he was.... quiet, sweet, kind, funny, smart and a little stubborn :o) Uncle John was so much like my Grandpa Potter that I often sat back and thought how nice it was for my daughter Jordan to be so close to him because I constantly told her how much he was like her Great Grandpa that it kept his memory alive as well. My favorite memory of Uncle John was from this past summer... Out of the blue one warm/wet night... Uncle John was knocking at my door. I opened the door to find him standing there with a big smile on his face .... his oxygen tank on his back ... his flashlight strapped to his head with a bucket in his hand (he honestly looked like one adorable Ghost Buster) He looked at me and asked if Jordan could come out and pick worms with him since it was a perfect night for it. I laughed and called her down stairs and the two of them went out ... she crawled around on her knees picking the worms he would point out and I remember thinking how cute the two of them were and how remarkable and sweet it was that Uncle John and my 13 year old daughter would have so much in common and be so alike in many ways.... We will miss you Uncle John and think of you often with a smile....
