Richard Verrenti
Richard Verrenti, 71, of Rome, passed away in his sleep, in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, after an 8-month valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born October 23, 1938, in Rome, the son of the late Anthony and Louise Verrenti. He is a 1998 retiree of Revere Copper and Brass.
Richard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sari Rose Verrenti, whom he married on September 11, 1970, at the Church of St. John the Baptist. He also is survived by his daughter and son in law, Stacy and Matthew Snyderman of Rochester; his son, Scott Verrenti of Rochester, and two grandsons, Logan and Ethan Snyderman, who will miss "Papa Dick". Also surviving is a special brother in law, Brian Rose of Fayetteville, who was like a brother to him.
A Mass celebrating Dick's life will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Church.
At Dick's request, there will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
