Karen and I used to ride on the bus to Utica together - and we took a wonderful trip to Pennsylvania with another gal - Kim Cain, a lovely black gal. We went with the GALS Club - Government Associated Ladies Sorority at Griffiss AFB and we had so much fun! We went to Reading, and we were in the hotel (The Lincoln?) and something woke us up in the middle of the night - and Kim sat up screaming - and she had a white face mask on her face - and all three of us started screaming. We had a blast! I'll never forget it. Kim later went to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, and I came here to Patrick AFB in Florida. But when I was in Rome Karen brought her friend Brenda to my apartment, and we've all been friends ever since. We all took Accounting together at MVCC - and we really struggled - don't know how we got through it. I could tell some more funny stories but would rather tell them in person. I miss her so. She was like a wonderful daughter to me!

My sympathy goes out to the Lombino/Daigle family. I met Karen at Transfiguration School. Karen was a very sweet and gentile person. I have not seen Karen in several years because I have lived out of state. However, I have asked about her thru her niece, Tiffany. I know Karen will be missed by her Family and Friends. God bless you!

we are so sorry for you loss. our family loved Karen. we considered her family. she had such a kind, loving heart and was such a bright presence when she came to spend time with us. we are grateful to her always for being such a loving friend to my mother- knitting blankets, taking her shopping, and going out to lunch. I wanted so badly for her to find some happiness and peace. we mourn her as our own. the Haases

Karen was my friend when I was a military dependent, abandoned at Griffiss AFB. She and her brother and family went out of their way to befriend my son and I when we had no one. I still remember her beautiful black hair and alabaster skin - and how sweet and kind she was and how she loved her little dog. I had no car then - so we would take the bus to Utica and go shopping, and we went on a tour to Pennsylvania - and suffered through Accounting at MVCC together too. She and her friend, Brenda use to visit me at my apartment when I was cold and alone, and when I first came home to Florida and had no furniture - she bought a Christmas tree for my son and I. And every year she always sent cards; one to me and the other just for my son. She was such a young, beautiful person. I'm so sorry that you lost someone so special and dear.
