Adolph Siegfried, age 88, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2012, with his loving family at his side. He was born, June 28, 1923, in Highmarket, NY, a son of Christian and Frieda Marggi Siegfried. Adolph was united in marriage to the former Joyce Cadrette, on September 23, 1950, in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a former iron worker at Rome Iron Mills, retiring after many years of service. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the European theater during WW II. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and Lee Legion. Adoph was an avid fisherman and baseball fan. He played baseball for many years in the local baseball leagues. Adolph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce; a daughter, Gloria Gaudreau of Rome; a grandson, Robert Gaudreau of Hamilton; and many other family members. He was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday 12 Noon to 3 PM, prior to the funeral service.
