Barbara A. Gilboy, entered heavens gates to the loving arms of her husband on April 28, 2018.
Barbara was born on November 14, 1945 to John and Ruby Jones. She graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1965, and worked at various place in Rome, including being a CNA. On April 17, 1971, she married her one and only love, Charles A. Gilboy. On February 5, 1972, she gave birth to their one and only daughter, Jacqueline M. Gilboy.
Barbara is survived by her six brothers, David (Mary Ellen), Robert (Robin), Stevie, Lawrence (Liz), Donnie, and Brian (Carol); her only daughter, Jackie (DJ); seven grandchildren, John, Cheyanne, Charles, Shari, Nicholas, Donald Jr., and Mathew; and nine great grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Tori, Jaidyn, Havannah, Kaileb, Sheylynn, Austin, Stephen Jr., Trenton, and Ryker. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; a brother, John Jones; and two sisters, Linda Salas and Pattie Croniser.
Barbara also had special people who she loved as her own: a daughter, Millie; two grand daughters, Tracey and Deanna; a grandson, Richard Farda; and Zack who she loved dearly.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
