Obituary of Mary Ensenat

Mary Ensenat, age 88, of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2017 at Rome Memorial Hospital. Mary was born in Rome on November 22, 1929 to the late Dominick and Ascentie Matauchioni DiDone, and was educated in the Rome schools. On August 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Matthias Ensenat; a blessed union of 51 years until his passing on March 25, 2003. Mary worked as a cafeteria aid for the Rome Schools and was loved by the students for her outgoing personality. Mary is survived by her son and daughter in law, Gabriel and Christine Ensenat; grandchildren, Gabriel II and wife Sarah, Danielle Thompson (Ensenat) and husband, Sean, Stephanie Thomas (Ensenat) and husband, Jonathan, and John Vogel; great grandchildren, Brycen, Everett, Gianna, and soon to be Rosalina; a brother, Dominick Didone; sister-in-law Lena; and a daughter in law, Sandra Ensenat; She was predeceased by her son, Matt. A special thanks to her nephew, Anthony (Bing) Sparaglia for all of his love and support over the years. A private graveside service will be held at St. John's Cemetery in the spring.
