So sorry for your loss. I was a young GI from Columbus,Ohio who was stationed at Griffiss and worked for Bob. He was our leader in the shop and worked to train me on vehicles. Bob had long hair in 1986 and I thought wow I work for a hippy!! When I got to know him and respect him he made me feel i was important and gave me direction in my career, he felt like a dad giving us direction and sound advice. I felt bad losing touch with him in the 80s, before the internet. But, I have never forgotten him and I still tell people today, he was the best supervisor I ever worked for. Again, I am truly sorry to hear about his passing.

SO sorry for your loss. Bob was so great to work with and a pleasure to know. He helped our daughter pick out her first computer and even worked on it once. Thinking of family in this time of loss. Edwin Atkins

The first time I met Bob was at a golf outing for the 509th Transportation Squadron. I was new to the squadron and I beat him on the long drive on hole #7. Bob came over to find out what "Turkey" beat him. From that day on until I retired from the Air Force in 2004 we played golf together in every scramble at the base. He was with me when I got my 2nd hole in one. I think he was more excited than I was. Bob and I won the 2002 Base Championship together. He was and always will be my favorite friend to play golf with. He always was happy and found a silver lining in everything. No words can describe how much I will miss him. I am glad that I had 22 years of his friendship. I'll miss you buddy!!

Fran, Bob was my best friend at Whiteman. Golf brought the two of us together. Bob made me a better person and I will always be grateful. The two of you made me feel like I was a part of your family. Love to you and your family

Fran so sorry to hear about Bob. He was a great man to know. I will never forget the time at work when I got him right between the eyes with a water gun. We laughed so hard about that. He will be missed
