Please be encouraged: "For I well know what I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope. And you will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you" (Jeremiah 29:11,12)

Dear Mortis Family, I would like to give you my condolences. I remember Mrs. Mortis while growing up in Lee Center, most importantly watching her faithfulness and love towards our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was always a blessing to me when I would see her and family at church. I remember her extraordinary Godly smile. My prayers and thoughts are that you will trust the Lord Jesus Christ. He makes no Mistakes. Proverbs 3:5-6, Phil 1:6,1 John 5:11-12 Love In Christ, Ward d. Gillett

I weep with you over the loss of the sweetest person that ever lived. I pray you find comfort in knowing we will one day see Karen again. The Rose Beyond The Wall - A. L. Frink Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by the morning dew, Shedding it's sweetness day and night. As it grew and blossomed fair and tall, Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall Through which there shone a beam of light. Onward it crept with added strength With never a thought of fear or pride, It followed the light through the crevice's length And unfolded itself on the other side. The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before, And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing it's fragrance more and more. Shall claim of death cause us to grieve And make our courage faint and fall? Nay! Let us faith and hope receive-- The rose still grows beyond the wall, Scattering fragrance far and wide Just as it did in days of yore, Just as it did on the other side, Just as it will forever-more.

We are so sorry for your loss. She was such a sweet woman! I don't know if I ever saw her without a smile. Although I hadn't seen her for many years, I ran into her a few yrs ago volunteering at the bingo hall, and she still looked as beautiful as she had 25 yrs ago! Deepest sympathies.
