THEODORE E. KOPYTOWSKI
Theodore E. Kopytowski, age 84, of Coleman Mills Road, Rome, NY passed away into the loving hands of the Lord, on April 28, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital with his loving family at his side. Ted was born on March 24, 1928 in Rome, the son of Stanley and Katherine Kopytowski, and educated in Westmoreland schools.
On April 25, 1953 Ted was united in marriage to Jessie Kuczek, at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church. Ted was employed by Revere Copper and Brass for 30 years while also being owner of a dairy farm. Upon retirement he founded TDR Log Homes and also worked for ConMed. He was a a communicant of Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, St. Cecilia Choir, Polish Musical Society Chorale, Rome Polish Home, and the Polish Independence Club. Ted was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army.
Ted was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing on his beloved lands. During his illness he would watch the wildlife around his home finding great delight in the visiting deer and water fowl around the backyard pond. Ted found great comfort in all of God's nature, but most especially in his devoted pets, Sheppy and Peppy.
Ted will be remembered not only for his love of God and God's creations, but also for his devotion to his family and friends, especially his undying love for his wife of 59 years, Jessie. He took immense pride in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and their love for him sustained him through his illness. Family, friends and co-workers will remember Ted for his joy of life, his love of music, his endless enthusiasm and his tremendous sense of humor. He was never without a joke on his lips, a song in his heart, or a story to tell.
