Jennie A. Daniello
Jennie A. Daniello departed this life peacefully in the arms of the angels who delivered her safely to Our Lord, so that she may begin her new and eternal life with Him.
Jennie was born on February 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Puccio Arena. She grew up in Rome and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1944. She was married to Peter Daniello on August 20, 1949, a blessed marriage of 50 years; together they raised two daughters. In addition to raising a family, Jennie also worked outside of the home for D'Arcangelo,Clark & Co., for over 30 years. She was a lifetime parishioner of the Church of St. John the Baptist, a devoted Catholic who was truly inspired by her Pastor, Fr. Paul F. Angelicchio.
Jennie was a very loving, caring, humble, kind, gentle, generous, patient, inspirational and unselfish woman of great beauty and strength. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jennie was very proud of her Italian heritage and continued many old family traditions. She was an outstanding cook, and her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen preparing meals for her family and friends.
Jennie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and had a great sense of humor. She had a true appreciation of all types of music and old movies. Her favorite past-time was watching baseball, especially the Mets, and her favorite player was Mike Piazza; whom she met and received his autograph. She also enjoyed working on her baseball card collection. Jennie loved to travel to different shrines and often spoke of her trip to Italy. She loved gardening, reading, and spending endless hours on her word searches.
Jennie will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her husband, Peter, who died August 28, 1999. She was the epitome of motherhood and will be terribly missed by her loving daughters, Carol (Hank) Furgol and Barbara (Frank) LaMonica; grandchildren, Danielle (Chandler) Wilcox,Philip (Liz) LeTray, Frank LaMonica and Amanda Fox, Audra (John) Forste, and Peter (Anissa) LaMonica; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexis Wilcox, Philip and Kaitlyn LeTray, James and Tyler Forste, and Levi and Brielle LaMonica. Those also close to Jennie, and who will dearly miss her are her "third daughter" Elaine Holtzer and family, Gordy, Nicole, Natalie and Joseph; special friends, Sister Rosaire Anne DeMare, MaryKay and Julia Norelli, Barbara and John DeCharo. She also leaves a sister, Maria Barber, and special nieces and nephews, Kathy and Paul Piper, and Tony and Lynn Fontana; several in-laws, Sarah Ramsey, Linda (Dick) Marocchi, Fran Daniello, Lucy Gleba, Nina Daniello, Ann Thomas, Joanna Daniello, Patti Daniello, Virginia Spina and Fannie Rena. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joe and Leonard, and two sisters, Angeline Fontana and Antoinette Circle; and in-laws, Rose and Mac Spadafora, Louis Daniello Sr, Margaret Daniello, Nick Daniello, Gene Daniello, Ronald Gleba, Donna Daniello, Spencer Ramsey, Charles Circle, Louis Spina; special niece and nephews, Josie Calder, Chuck Circle and Gordon Holtzer.
