We just heard of Jim's passing. I worked with Jim for several years in both Berlin Germany and San Angelo Texas. He was an outstanding coworker and friend. We also had the pleasure of getting to know Kathy and his delightful children in San Angelo, but unfortunately lost contact after Jim retired and they moved away. We will always remember Jim! Good bless his family!

My heartfelt condolences. I just saw this on Facebook. I cannot believe it. Jim was a great friend back at Goodfellow AFB. I still remember filling his Geo Tracker with Styrofoam popcorn and watching it fly out as he drove away. He was such an honorable guy. His presence will be greatly missed. RIP buddy!

My deepest sympathies for your loss. I shared a cube with Jim about 5 years ago when I used to work at the lab. He always spoke fondly, and often, of his family and his travels. I remember his Schleich zoo figure collection and his love for animals. He was a kind-hearted man that will be missed.

My heart felt condolences to the family, especially Jenny and Nathan. I lost my dad when he was only 54 as well, so I know exactly what you are going through. Your dad was so proud of both of you. He loved you and his grandchildren more than one could ever imagine. When we were talking last week, he was telling me how excited he was at the possibility of traveling to the south a lot more often. He was thrilled that he was able to see his grandchildren and the thought of seeing all of you more often made him light up so much I could feel it even in email. He loved flying into NC and spending time with your family Jenny when he had business in Augusta, and spoke fondly of his trips to Florida to visit you, Nathan and your family. Fin and Reagan were the little lights of his life right ahead of his horses. He was one very proud dad and grandpa! Please don't ever forget how much he loved you.
