John was a raging alcoholic that sexually abused his stepdaughters and other children. He beat his wives regularly and abused animals as well. It is a relief to know he will not cause anyone else anymore suffering and long-term emotional damage. Signed- A person that was abused by that monster

John and I became fast friends at Gary's Music Store, and enjoyed many conversations about "everything guitar" during our "Saturday morning meetings" at the music store, and I knew something was amiss when he stopped coming in. We had planned to play at a Wednesday evening jam and I am quite saddened that we didn't get the chance to do that. The band in heaven is now complete with John as a part of it,although he is sadly missed in the here and now. My deepest condolences to John's family as well as to his friend and companion Diane, all of whom he always spoke so highly of.

I found out about John's passing a week after it happened.
I worked with John for a number of years and shared many memories of the Beatles and their music. He taught me a number of great ways to play those great songs. John was truly gifted as a guitarist and musician. He was also the most avid Beatles fan I have ever met. Thanks, John! I will miss those shared stories. I am honored to call you a friend.
May I please extend my condolences to all of John's family and friends. He was a wonderful guy.

To John’s family, I would like to send my deepest sympathy for your loss. John and I worked together for several years on base, and I really enjoyed our conversations. When Time Warner Cable removed the feature for copying programs to DVD’s the thing that bothered me the most is that I could no longer burn John DVDs to share the music shows with him! His insight and knowledge of music, especially guitar, was phenomenal. I enjoyed John friendship and will remember him fondly. Very respectfully, Jay Salerno

I was greatly saddened to hear about John's passing. His was always a positive presence when he would regularly visit my store. We would share stories of gigging in the 70's and found that we had very much in common. Over the years I came to appreciate his sense of humor and his sense of what's important. We would sometimes talk at length about life's challenges. My most heartfelt condolences to John's family and loved one's. His loss and your grief is spread across many more of John's friends than you could know. RIP dear friend. I miss you man.
