Ralph N. Sanzone, age 62, of Rome, passed away on September 6, 2024.

Ralph was born in Rome on December 10, 1961, to Salvatore and Polly Mirabelli Sanzone, and graduated from RFA in 1980. He worked as a mason for the Local Union 422 35. He was a generous man who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He was a third-degree black belt in Kung Fu martial arts, participating in many tournaments, and earned the nickname, “Kata Man.” He loved being with friends and family and listening to music. Ralph was the life of the party and there was never a dull moment when he was around.

Ralph is survived by his daughters, Kiersten Sanzone, Arielle (Tim Rutledge-Johnson) Sanzone, Kelsi (Josh Knapp) Sanzone, Isabella ( Maxwell Polus) Sanzone, and Gabriella Sanzone; his grandchildren, Kash Knapp, Journi Knapp, Krue Knapp, and Orson Rutledge-Johnson who is on the way; his mother, Polly; his sister, Deborah (Alex) Cignarale; his brother, Samuel (Theresa Schillaci) Sanzone; his partner of 20 years, Jennifer Lewis; his former wife with whom he remained friends with, Colleen Jerome; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Salvatore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 14, at 9:30 AM, at the Church of St. John the Baptist, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Friday from 4 to 7 PM.
