Hugh worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Floyd and after retiring, worked at Ballister’s Automotive.

Hugh was a life member of the Boonville VFW and was the oldest member in terms of age of the Taberg American Legion. He was also a charter member of the Floyd Volunteer Fire Department. Hugh enjoyed dancing and playing guitar. He was a man of immense humor who loved his family and cherished every moment with them and lived his life to the fullest,

Hugh is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Ronald) Quattrociocchi of Westernville, and Tina (Ronald) Tefft of Stittville; sons, Randy Westcott of Floyd, and Alfred James “Jim” (Deb Marshall) Westcott of Taberg; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; eight great, great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Hazel Evelyn Westcott; siblings, Orvis Altamuro, Shelia Trinka, Vander Westcott, and Theal Westcott; and his significant other of 15 years, Dot Olin, who passed in 2020.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amcare Ambulance for their exceptional care, the ER nursing staff at Rome Health for their compassion and dignity, and his caregiver, Carrie Ward, whom Hugh loved like a daughter, and was with him for nearly two years.
