Obituary of June Marie Krebs
June Marie Krebs, age 93, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Charles T. Sitrin Healthcare Center.
June was born in Oriskany, on June 8, 1931 to the late J. Albert and Flora Bracey Myers and graduated from Holland Patent Central School in 1948.On July 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Krebs; a blessed union of love and laughter lasting for over 65 years until his passing on November 6, 2014. June and Dick raised a beautiful family and they made them proud. She was a homemaker, though she did work at Price Chopper for many years as a “sample lady.”
June was a charter member of Floyd Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary, and a member of St. Leo’s/ St. Ann’s Church in Holland Patent. She loved people and enjoyed sharing a story or two with them. She also hosted many parties for friends on the Camroden Hill. June loved her family and enjoyed every moment spent with them. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her much happiness and fun, and there was always laughter at family gatherings.
June is survived by her children, Lori (Arthur) Hughes, James (Mary) Krebs, and Scott (Susan) Krebs; daughter in law, Beverly Krebs; grandchildren, Kimberly (Chris) Chalmers, Erica (Rick) Meisenhelder, Steve (Bree) Krebs, Josh (Amanda) Krebs, Elizabeth (Steve) Pattay, Diana (Scott) Wilcox, Alyson Vick, Michael (Allison) Krebs, Jaimie Krebs, Jonathan (Tina) Hughes, Meghan Hughes, Christopher Krebs, Lindsay (Jesse) Krebs, Mallory (Charlie) Krebs, Jessica (Andrew) Munn, Tyler (Elizabeth) Krebs, Chloe Krebs, and Arianna Krebs; great grandchildren, Jacob, Victoria, Marcus, Dominic, Brinley, Taylor, Teagan, Easton, Nora, Mallory, Collin, Gracie, Oliver, Carter, Callista, Parker, Cecelia, Rylah, Kinley, Joshua, Mason, Madelyn, Abbie, and Leo who is on the way; brother, Fred (Marge) Myers; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Richard “Rick” and Michael Krebs.
The family would like extend a special thank you to June’s caregivers, Sandy, Shannon, and Jaimie for their care and love given to June.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday August 16, 2024 at 1 PM at St. Leo's/St. Ann’s Church, Holland Patent.
Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM prior to the mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes or American Heart Associations.
