Obituary of Lorraine V. Bryan

Lorraine V. Bryan, age 85, of Taberg, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, on February 8, 2024, at Oneida Health.

Lorraine was born in Rome, on July 19, 1938 to the late Francis and Alice Scanlon Pelow. She graduated from RFA, and received her Bachelors of Science degree from SUNY Institute of Technology. Lorraine worked as a Supervisory program analyst at AF Rome Research Lab.

In 1985, she was united in marriage to Gordon Bryan. Lorraine loved riding her Harley Davidson and snowmobiles with Gordon and family. She enjoyed gardening, skiing, and fishing. Playing pitch and going out to dinner with their good friends Bonny and Roger and her family. She was a great mother, wife, Nana, and her house was always filled Love and Laughter. She was a devout Catholic, Lorraine had a great love of God and the Blessed Mother.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughters, Paula (Joseph) Scheiderich, and Lynn (Scott) Fletcher; son, Alan (Kim) Armstrong, step-children, Laurie (Bob) Lashinger, Carrie (Larry) Stesen and Gordon (Marti) Bryan Jr.; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; ; sisters Donna Martin, Nancy (Roger) Smith, and Sue (Rick) Rathbun;, Linda (George) Crossley, and brother Frank "Butch" Pelow Jr.; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Robert Armstrong and a brother-in-law, Chester Martin.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Patrick's Church in Taberg. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in the spring. The family would like to give a special thanks to Oneida Health for their compassion and professionalism during her last days.
