Stella J. Reres, age 79, of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Stella was born in Maridian, MS on January 15, 1945, to the late John and Verdie Pinion Trybalski. In 1989, she was united in marriage to Philip G. Reres, a proud Army and Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. She worked at the Rome State School and retired as a supervisor.

Stella enjoyed gardening, fishing, and photography. She loved animals and was an avid bird watcher. She also liked to play video games and was a gun enthusiast.

Stella is survived by her loving husband, Philip; children, Frank, John, and Billy; grandchildren, Erica, Franky, and Steve; stepdaughters, Marie Reres, and Teresa Reres; and step-grandchildren, Kristine Wakeman, Maria Soha, Zane Finizio, and Jacob P. Nossek.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 7 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Her burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM prior to the funeral.
