Obituary of Rosalie M. Mastracco

Rosalie M. Mastracco, age 91, of Rome, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023, at Rome Health.

Rosalie was born in New Rochelle on July 2, 1932 to the late John and Rose Congello Spinelli, and graduated from RFA in 1950. On May 23, 1953, she was united in marriage to William Mastracco; a blessed union of 19 years until his passing on October 29, 1972. She worked for Rome Cable Corporation until her retirement in 1999.

She enjoyed bocce, playing in the Rome Senior League for several years at the Toccolano Club.  She also enjoyed bowling, watching football, baseball, and basketball on TV, and rooting for her favorite teams. She loved to cook and bake and just spend time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

Rosalie is survived by her three sons, Michael (Judy) Mastracco of Westernville, Nello (Catherine) Mastracco of Clay, and Paul Mastracco of Canandaigua; granddaughters, Jessie (Zach) Jacobs, and Shea and Helena Mastracco; a great grandson, Jake; a brother and sister-in-law, Louis Mastracco (Joyce), sister-in law, Olga Mastracco, sister-in-law, Marie Mastracco; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Grace Law. She also had several special friends she wanted to mention: Rose Shoemaker, Debbi Pinti, Kay Jones, Joyce Lyman, Nickie Powell, and Barbara LoVaglio. A special thank-you to Joanne Huxley for all she did for Rosalie, and to all the staff at Bethany Gardens, who all loved her and made the last year of her life as comfortable as possible, and made her feel at home.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday at 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
