Obituary of David A. Patterson
David A. Patterson, age 64, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022, at the Abraham House of Rome, after battling cancer.
David was born in Rome on September 13, 1958, to Robert and Joyce Clark Patterson. He retired from iron working in Utica. He loved car racing and an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
David is survived by his mother, Joyce Vollmer of Overland Park, KS; his daughter, Lindsay (Miguel) Lopez; his grandchildren, Maddison, Sofia, and Lacey of AZ; his brother, Glenn (Bev) Patterson of Overland Park, KS; nieces, Jamy Kimball of Utica, and Jodi and Jacki Patterson of Rome; his uncle, Norvale “Sam” Tompkins; cousin, Dawn Harness both of AZ; cousin, Sheri Holt of Blossvale; and all his beloved friends of Rome. He was predeceased by his father; his grandparents, Arthur “Bumpy” Rumble, and Rocco and Alice D’Onfrio; an aunt, Donna Tompkins; and a cousin, Alice Martinez.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Abraham House of Rome for their care and compassion shown to David during his stay.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the spring.
