Obituary of Lamoine P. Ziankoski
Lamoine P. Ziankoski, age 87, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Lamoine was born at home in Point Rock on February 24, 1935 to the late Harold and Jennie Peters Paine. Lamoine attended the one room school in Point Rock and graduated from RFA in 1952. After graduation worked at Farmers National Bank in Rome, later at Niagara Mohawk and retired with 30 years of service. On October 12, 1957, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Ziankoski and recently celebrated their 65th anniversary.
Lamoine was a member of the Lee Center United Methodist Church. For many years family and friends enjoyed their camp at Panther Lake and shared many good times. After retirement they enjoyed spending their winters at their home in Palm Bay, FL.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her daughter, Sue Swiss of Rome; her son, Bill (Donna) Ziankoski of Lee Center; her grandchildren Tim, Tyler (Kelsey), Melissa and Dustin; a great grandson, Oliver; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Edith Pendrack, Beatrice Smith, Murl Oram, Norma Cook; her brothers, Leland, Cletus, Norman, Harland, Harlow, and Harold Paine; and her son-in-law, Greg Swiss.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Point Rock Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 6 PM.
Memorial contributions in Lamoine’s name may be made to Point Rock Cemetery.
