Obituary of Agnes F. Paine

Agnes F. Paine, age 94, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully with her family at her side and joined her beloved husband, Cletus, on January 12, 2014.
She was born December 12, 1919, in Rome, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parsons, and educated in West Leyden schools. Agnes was united in marriage to Cletus Paine, on June 4, 1942, at Ft. Bliss, Texas; he died February 2, 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Lee Center.
Agnes was a lady with a friendly smile and a kind spirit. She created many friendships and memories which will be cherished and remembered over the years. She also will be remembered for her love of singing, dancing and quilt making.
Agnes is survived by three daughters, and two sons in law, Loretta and Phil Fanelli of Sauquoit, Gail Meunier of Norman, OK, and Kaye and Thomas O'Brien of Lee Center; three sons, Douglas Paine of Lee Center, Frank Paine and Claudia Decker of Lee Center, and John Paine of Rome; a brother and sister in law, James and Sheila Parsons of Rome; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Oram.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Bryant Wing at Lutheran Care, for their care, compassion and friendship extended to Agnes during her illness.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery.
