Obituary of Amy Little Anson
Amy Little Anson, age 46, of the Town of Lee, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022, after a courageous battle with colon cancer, with her family at her side.
She was born May 21, 1975, in West Palm Beach, FL, the daughter of Ed and Brenda Baker Little. She attended schools in both Florida and New York. Amy worked as an EKG Technician for several years at Rome Health, and most recently at CNY Cardiology in the Rome, Oneida and Utica offices.
Amy enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach, and crafts. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 7-month-old grandson.
Amy is survived by her parents, Ed and Brenda Little; her three children, Autumn Porter of Greensboro, MD, Ashley (Jamie) Butler of Taberg, and Kyle Anson of Rome; her grandson, Owen Butler; three half siblings, Amanda Naimi, Melissa Williams and Lewis Hall, all of Fort Walton Beach, FL; maternal grandfather, Fred Baker of Taberg; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dog, Lexi May. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Marilyn Baker, and paternal grandparents, Virginia and Jack Little.
Amy’s family wishes to sincerely thank the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, for their care and compassion extended to Amy during her illness, and their sincere gratitude to all Amy’s coworkers at CNY Cardiology for their friendship and great benefit that they held for her.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 6:00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 6 PM, prior to the funeral service.
