Obituary of Brandon D. O'Dell

Please share a memory of Brandon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Brandon D. O’Dell, of Westmoreland, leaving us all too soon at a young age of 21, died in a tragic snowmobile accident on January 28, 2022, with his friends at his side, doing everything they could to save him.

He was born May 12, 2000, in Rome, a son of Andrew and Gretchen VanDeusen O’Dell and graduated from Westmoreland High School in the “Class of 2018”.

Brando had a huge heart and so much to offer, always willing to lend a hand. The room lit up when ”Brando” walked in. He was talented, busy and had beautiful life skills of an entrepreneur, buying and selling motorized vehicles. He had so many great friends and loved to have a great time. His goal in life was to offer good advice and bring happiness to all. Brandon was a true legacy who hustled for whatever he desired in life.

Brandon is survived by his loving brother, Jarad O’Dell; his loving parents, Andy and Gretchen of Westmoreland; his grandparents, Bruce and Dianne Van Deusen and Margot and Richard Ehly; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends; and, his beloved dog, Blu. Proceeded in death are his paternal grandparents Sheila O'Dell and Duane O'Dell.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday from 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral.
