Obituary of Maria Moskin
Maria Moskin, age 92, and a resident of Rome Residential Healthcare Facility, passed away in her sleep on December 13, 2021.
She was born in the Ukraine on April 27, 1929 to a poor family. When Germany invaded the Ukraine, Maria decided to leaver her country and begin the long journey alone. Her future husband’s family in America sponsored her and she became a U.S. citizen. Four years later, she married Michael J. Moskin and ran the family farm until 2016.
Maria leaves behind a daughter, Debbie (Don) Roberts; a son, Michael (Sally) Moskin; three grandchildren, Zachary, Phillip, and Renee. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; and three children, Tom, Peg, and Andrea.
The family would like to thank the 3 East nursing and aide staff for all their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the funeral.
