Obituary of Wanda E Pushlar
Wanda E. Pushlar, age 99, of Rome, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021.
She was born April 19, 1922, in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Majewicz Dobroski. Wanda married the love of her life, Louis Pushlar, on July 28, 1945, in Herkimer. He passed away in January of 1979, after 32 years of a beautiful and loving marriage. Wanda was a devoted daughter who cared for her parents until their passing in their later years. She loved all her family dearly and always continued to be part of their lives. She will be greatly missed.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Caroline Kwasniewski of Rome; a son and daughter in law, Frederick and Roseanne Pushlar of Syracuse; grandchildren, Aimee and Jason Brainard of Staatsburg, NY, Kristopher and Jen Pushlar of Fort Montgomery, NY, Andrew and Tammie Pushlar of Freeville, NY, Ted and Melissa Kwasniewski of Ft. Edward, NY, Ken and Lidija (Vokovic) Kwasniewski of Rockport, MA, and Bethany (Kwasniewski) and Tommy Geoghegan of Catonsville, MD; great grandchildren, Kira, Catrina, Natalie, Amelia, Alex, Sophia, Isaac, Evan, Lilly Rose and Trinity; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Pushlar and son in law, Edward Kwasniewski.
The Family wishes to offer a special thank you to Latisa, Megan, Natalie and all the caregivers and staff at Bethany Gardens who took such wonderful care of Wanda the past 5 years.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio, will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Transfiguration. Please wear a mask and adhere to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
