Jennifer Rousseau

Obituary of Jennifer Patrice Rousseau

Please share a memory of Jennifer to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jennifer P. Rousseau, age 46 of Clinton NY, crossed over on April 24 2020 to be with her Heavenly Father and her dad. With her loving mother and sister by her side, her beautiful soul fluttered out of the open window like a butterfly.

Jennifer was born on February 20 1974. She is the daughter of the late Michael D. Rousseau and Patricia M. Rousseau of Rome, NY.

Jennifer’s smile and sweet spirit could light up a room. Living her truth, she experienced life to the fullest according to who she was. Jenny was also an artist. She enjoyed attending exhibits where her art work was displayed and sold. Her work was presented at places like the Old Forge Library, The Kirkland Art Center, The Landmark Theater, Rome Art and Community Center, and 4 Elements Art Studio. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to the phenomenal people of The Pieces of HEART program at H.C.P for giving Jenny this beyond amazing opportunity and experience.

We would also like to thank everyone from the Hatfield Day Treatment Program who have worked with Jenny for many years. They would take her on many adventures and outings, but one of her favorites was going to Dunkin Donuts for coffee.

Also, we would like to extend a huge, heartfelt thanks to all who cared for Jenny at Homestead, where she resided for many years.  There are so many exceptional people who loved Jenny and attended to her every need, many becoming like family. For that we will be forever grateful.

Jennifer was predeceased by her father, Poppi, Nannie, Omi, and Uncle Steven Rousseau. She is survived by her mother, her most adored sister, Jessica Rousseau Texera and a cherished niece and nephew, Giana and Rocco Texera of CT.

Also surviving are her Aunt Ro (and Godmother) and Uncle Jim Farino of Rome NY, Aunt Louise and Uncle Bob Esposito of Rome, Aunt Noelle and Uncle Matthew Picozzi of North Carolina, Uncle Dennis Rousseau of Colorado, and Aunt Robin Rousseau of Clifton Park NY, along with many loving cousins.

As her dad embraces her now, Jenny will be remembered as the fun, strong, beautiful, resilient, loving spirit she was and always will be.

The family would like to thank Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Jenny.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that everyone do a small act of kindness with compassion in Jenny’s name.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at Rome Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements will be entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
