I remember when you would call and say you were coming over and we said "Stash" is coming over to our dog Chico, he would bark into the telephone and run around the house wagging his tail all happy that you were coming over. I remember when you came over and you would sit at the kitchen table and say to me 'Get me some coffee please" and of course I would wait on you like some diner waitress in a coffee shop. I really didn't know you that well, but I had known you since you worked for Norrelli Realty, when I lived on Embargo St in 1994. When I moved down to North Carolina in 2007, me and Bud would come over to your house and have coffee, and more coffee,it was nice to sit with you and talk about the good old days with Bud.You will be greatly missed for your company and for all those silly, jokes you told.Darlene Johnson.

I remember the first day we met. We were little boys, you told me your name was "Stasiu Gorczyca" I thought that couldn't be someones name" because I never heard anything like that before. We went to the corner store together and bought candy. You said "Call me Stash" I could say that, so that was the start of our fifty year friendship. When we got older, my kids had to learn how to say Stasiu Gorczyca. They called you Stash and thought of you as an uncle. Stash, my friend, I am very proud of you! You were very entertaining to us playing your guitar and accordian. You were a skilled painter, plumber ect. While working in Rome, you were a skilled auto-body tech while working in body shops. You received a green belt in Karate, and received North Carolina certification in use of pepper spray, baton, and taser guns while working for Guard One Security of Charlotte down here in North Carolina. That was a very dangerous job that took great courage, yet you still loved your work. I am very proud of you for that.We were always like brothers and were always there for each other whenever possible. We will miss you Mr Stanley Vincent Gorczyca, but to me you will always be "Stash". I, am really saddened because you're gone, you were my best friend and were the closest person I had left as a relative, that I could call a best friend and brother. Your friend forever, Bud Johnson.
