Obituary of Lorraine A. Lewin
Lorraine A. Lewin, age 64, of Camden, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2020 at the Abraham House of Rome.
Lorrie was born in Rome on June 10, 1955 to the late Chester and Virginia Converse Worden. She graduated from Adirondack Central School, MVCC, and Utica College. On June 10, 1978, she was united in marriage to Richard Lewin; a blessed union of 34 years until his passing on November 14, 2012. Lorraine worked for Oneida County Department of Social Services as a caseworker for Adult Protective Services.
Lorrie was proud to volunteer for the Ride for Missing Children.
Lorrie is survived by two daughters, Melissa (James) Swistak of Rome, and Amanda Lewin of Camden; two sons, Brian Lewin of Holland Patent, and Richard Jr. (Erica) Lewin of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Ashlynn Paige, Zachary and Sebastian Swistak, and Gabriel and
Gavin Clemens; stepchildren, Lori Lewin of Rome, and Paul Lewin of High Point, NC; and two brothers, Chester III (Diane) Worden of West Branch, and Daniel Worden of Holland Patent; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd from noon to 3 pm at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, 8600 Clubhouse Drive, Rome.
There are no calling hours.
Donations can be made to the Abraham House in Rome in Lorrie's name.
