Patti A. Saponaro, age 61, of Rome, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2013 with her loving family by her side.
Patti was born on March 17, 1952, in Utica, to the late David and Vera Goding Evans. Patti enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting. Her biggest joy in life was her granddaughter, Claudia Vera.
Patti is survived by a son and daughter in law, Samuel Jr. and Rachel Saponaro of Taberg; a granddaughter, Claudia Saponaro; a brother and sister in law, Mark and Mary Evans of Floyd; a boyfriend, Joseph Zyla; and her ex-husband, Samuel Saponaro Sr. She was predeceased by a sister, Charlene Gridley.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
