Rosario R. “Rusty” Carletta, age 63, of Rome, passed away on November 28, 2019 at Rome Memorial Hospital.

 

Rosario was born in Rome on September 30, 1956 to the late Raymond and Eloise Martin Carletta, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1974-1977 and was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to the former Melody Naymick. Rosario loved wood working and was a self-employed carpenter. He also worked at Orion Bus Industries for 15 years.

 

Rusty is survived by his wife, Melody; two sons, Christopher Carletta of Rome, and Adam Carletta of Verona; two sisters, Suzanne and Michelle Carletta; and nieces and nephews, Justin Naymick, Patti Potter, Andrew Cosimeno, Colleen Potter, Liyah Greene and Aiden Winters.  He was predeceased by a son, Marco Carletta.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be private.

 

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 prior to the service.
