Obituary of Dominick J. Mercurio

Dominick J. Mercurio, age 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully, on April 20, 2013. He was born January 11, 1930, in Rome, a son of Frank and Kathrine Colluccio Mercurio, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Dominick was united in marriage to the former Evelyn Rosati, in Rome, on June 17, 1961; she died April 26, 1999. He was formerly employed at Griffiss Air Force Base, retiring many years ago. Dominick proudly served in the United States Army. Dominick is survived by two daughters, Lori Mercurio of Rome, and Debra Mecurio and fiancé, Mark Pletl of Rome; a sister, Georgia Abrams of Webster; a brother, Robert Mercurio of Rome; and grandchildren, Nicholas and Ryan Misurda. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Lusby and Gloria Ahles, a brother, Louis Mercurio and a grandson, Michael Misurda. Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
