Harry W. DeHart, Jr., age 73, of Rome, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 with his loving family by his side. He was born in North Umberland, PA on October 3, 1939 to the late Harry W. Sr. and Miriam Metzger DeHart. He graduated from Rome Free Academy and also attended Mohawk Valley C.C. Harry proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked at NEADS at Griffiss Air Force Base. Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Harry is survived by three daughters and a son in law, Dawn and Frank P. Mastraccio Sr. of Rome, Donna DeHart and Mark Parker of Rome, and Tammy DeHart and Fred Beitter of Westernville; three sons and a daughter in law, James and Sandy DeHart of Marlboro, MA, Jason DeHart and Janelle Raymond of Lee Center, and Justin DeHart and Samantha Cianfrocco of Rome; 14 grandchildren, Frankie, Joey, Anthony, Noelle, Andrew, Renee, Steve, Zachery, Brielle, Breanne, Cassie, Sophia, Urijah, and Mackenzie; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; a sister in law Helen DeHart; and many special friends and co-workers. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard and a granddaughter, Alyssa. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 prior to the service.
