Obituary of Catherine Elizabeth Withrow

Catherine E. Withrow, age 60, of Rome, passed away peacefully, October 25, 2012, after a 21 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, with her loving family at her side.
She was born July 7, 1952, in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Babcock Koberstein, and educated in Brooklyn schools. Catherine was united in marriage to Bruce D. Withrow.
Catherine was a great and loving mother, who actively supported her children in their many activities and clubs, including serving as a Cub Scout den mother.
Catherine is survivied by her husband, Bruce; a daughter, Donna Frye of Rome; three sons and two daughters in law, David Withrow of Rome, Curtis Withrow and Crista Roth of Rome, and Gary and Bobbie Withrow of Kingsport, TN; two sisters and brothers in law, Janet and Robert Capparelli of Virginia Beach, VA, and Helen Bremner and Norman Baldomir of Rome; four brothers two sisters in law, Keith Koberstein of Long Island, Charles and Linda Koberstein of Painsville, OH, John Koberstein of Dannemora, NY, and Ronald and JoAnn Koberstein of Blossvale; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
