Arlene "Art" F. Beckwith, age 67, of Earlville, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2019.
Arlene was born in Rome on October 13, 1951 to the late Howard and Catherine Carmen Beckwith, and educated in the Rome Schools. Being one of the oldest of 15 children, Arlene learned the importance of caring for others at an early age.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Diane Beckwith of McDonough, NY; a son, Alan (Stephanie) Beckwith of Rome; two grandchildren, Danielle and Brody; her fiancé, William "Bill" Staiger; sisters, Patricia Lopez, Elaine (Stephen) Ferrare, Audrey (Butch) Evanciew, JoAnn (John) Chervinski, and Judy (Keith) Beckwith; brothers, Doug (Bernice) Beckwith, Donald Beckwith, John (Nancy) Beckwith, Keith (Debbie) Beckwith, Bob Beckwith, Chuck (Karen) Beckwith, and Eric (Michelle) Beckwith; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Howard Beckwith, Jr., and Gary Beckwith.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 12 to 2 PM prior to the funeral.
