Nancy-I wish I could attend but I have relocated to Sacramento,California. You and Ed were very helpful to Mimi and me during her illness. Ed was an inspiration with his knowledge about Parkinson's Disease and his encouragement to others that they can find ways to live with Parkinson's Disease. Mimi felt encouraged by Ed and Marge as well. We were all proud of the M & M team's efforts. I felt the strain of caregiving for you Nancy and how the late stage of the illness leaves one with so little sense of control and with worry and fatigue. I understand that Ed continued to live at home until his death as did Mimi. I felt both sadness and relief when Mimi died. For me, bereavement support groups were very helpful. I really had a good experience with Sister Rose Troy's support group that meets at the New Hartford Methodist Church once a month-perhaps the 3rd monday of each month. She can be contacted through the Dimbleby, Friedel Williams funeral home in New Hartford and there is no charge. I hope the healing process comes to you with time and that your friends and family give you space to grieve in your own way and that you recognize that you were an outstanding caregiver. Herb Freeman

Nancy, I'm so sorry. Ed's perseverance and courage always amazed me -- and you and he were so kind to my mom and dad. Both of you will always have a place in my heart. - David
