Carl "Kelly" McDonald Carl "Kelly" McDonald, 59, of Ava, passed away November 12, 2010, at his home after a brief illness. He was born April 16, 1951, in Butler, PA, a son of Arthur and Doris Brown McDonald, and educated in Butler schools. Kelly was united in marriage to the former Patricia Cox, on October 7, 1976, in Butler, PA. He formerly worked as a mechanic and a farmer. Kelly loved to travel, and used to travel "coast to coast" working with his brother, Arthur in a heating and air conditioning business. His real passion was car racing. He was a lifelong fan of all racing, from dirt track to NASCAR. He enjoyed the years of being a mechanic and pit crew member on Arthur's "dirt track" race team. Kelly is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Brenda McDonald and Marsha McDonald, both of Ava; a son, Tony McDonald of Ava; a brother, Arthur L. McDonald of Cabot, PA and a very good friend, Chuck. Funeral services and burial will be held in Butler, PA Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome, Sunday 2 to 5 PM.
