Obituary of Clarence R. Waterman

Clarence R. Waterman, age, 65, of Taberg, passed away March 19, 2010, at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born January 9, 1945, in Rome, a son of Clarence and Ethel Kobler Waterman, and educated in Rome schools. Clarence was united in marriage to the former Mary Ann Best, on August 12, 1995, in Taberg. He was employed at Revere Copper Products, retiring after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Rome Moose Lodge. Clarence was an avid collector of models cars and trucks. He enjoyed being around people and truly loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, along with his dog, Buddy. Clarence is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; a daughter and son in law, Colleen and Dan Sabia, Sr of Taberg; three sons and two daughters in law, Arnold Waterman of Taberg, Ned and Bobbi Jo Waterman of Barnard, MO, and Donald and Katie Waterman of Taberg; five sisters and two brothers in law, Jane Brady of Clearwater, FL, June and Howard Williams of Rome, Marie and Wayne Towne of Town of Lee, and Vonne Haynes of Town of Lee, and Gail Budlong of Rome; 15 grandchildren including two special grandchildren, Ashley and Austin; and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Sgt. Johnny Waterman in 1992. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 7 PM.
