Ayla is my 2nd cousin on the Griffiths side. I lived in Maryland for many years so I believe that the last time that I saw Ayla was at Uncle Claude & Aunt Joyce Marie's 50th wedding anniversary party. That was many years ago, Ayla must have been 6 or 7. But thankfully with the wonderful invention of the internet I've had the opportunity to get to know Ayla through her Caring Bridge site. She seemed like a very feisty smart girl who clearly had a zest for life and enjoyed it while she was here. I can't imagine the pain and anguish that you (My Family!) are going through, but please know that we love you and wish that we could be there with you. Roxanne & William Erich "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."

Mary and Amanda, Words cannot express what a light Ayla brought into the lives of all she knew. I didn't have the honor of knowing her for very long, but she certainly made an impression on me. Ayla carried herself with such grace, dignity, and strength...lightyears better than most people twice her age could have facing such a difficult cirmcumstance. I will always have this picture of her in my head showing us how she "model-walked" through the airports with her sunglasses and giraffe-spotted suitcase! Thank you so much for allowing me to share a few moments of her life. May God be with you and bless you during this time.

Dear Mary, Amanda and Family: Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your extended family during such a difficult and sorrowful time. Ayla, whenever she was at our home, was a beautiful, respectful and kind young lady. Please know that we are only a street away, should you need anything. May God give you His strength, comfort and peace as you face the days ahead. We pray that you will always feel Ayla with you in your thoughts, hearts and souls as your Guardian Angel. God Bless you all! With our sincere sympathy, The Benedetto Family
