Joan Flo We meet at St. John's Church. Only a few short years as close friends. (1995-1997) You left a footprint on my heart. Trip to Grandma's house, line dancing and the passing of Michael. Peace be with you and your family. God Bless. I will always remember you!!!

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Carole's family. I knew Carole through out mutual involvement in the Newman Center at Utica College. I don't know that I've ever met a kinder person than Carole. She was always helpful, never had a negative remark to say about anyone, and was also caring and concerned for others. We need more people like Carole in the world today. She will be sorely missed by all of us who were privileged to know her. Sincerely, Ellen Tasovac

Carole was the model of a good friend. She was a vital link in our Utica/Rome League of Women Voters' operation. She acted as our coach and consultant on many League matters and helped keep us on the right course. Even with all her other commitments, she was always willing to volunteer for voter registration drives and served many years as our League's debate moderator. Whether out on a hike with Tramp & Trail or seated at a Board meeting, Carole was always a welcome presence, adding wit and wisdom to the conversation. She will be sorely missed. - Karen McBride

I met Carole through the library and although I only knew her for a few months, she was an inspiration and role model. I was always amazed at how committed she was -- never missing a meeting even after spending the entire day traveling, as one example! -- and her incredible heart for service. She took her responsibilities very seriously and was always willing to go above and beyond, even when dealing with health and other issues on the side. Carole was a wonderful, generous, warm-hearted person and my deepest condolences to the family. She will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Carol’s family. I first met Carol when she was my instructor at SUNY Poly (then SUNY IT). She was a great teacher, and a very patient and funny person. Later, I had the chance to work with Carol as a colleague. Her tireless efforts, fantastic work ethic, and her always encouraging words set a fine example for any nurse who follows in her footsteps. She has always been such an integral part of SUNY Poly Department of Nursing, even in her retirement years. She will be sorely missed. Francia Reed – fellow nurse, student and colleague

CAROLE, MAY YOU KNOW THAT WE WILL MISS YOU, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU WILL OVER OVER THE GROUP AS THEY TAKE THAT TRIP TO POLAND NEXT YEAR. FLO WILSON, RPEA

I was totally inspired, and in awe of Carole, in her ability to face and deal with challenging health problems, yet muster on with strength and courage, continuing her many helping activities with spirit and determination. She and David, both, were admirable mentors In my many years with the Tramp and Trail club. To Carole's Family, My deepest sympathies to you all in the passing of your dear Mom and Grandma....I was privileged to get to know Carole as a co-volunteer leading the Tufts' University's weight lifting program to prevent osteoporosis. We took turns once a week leading this fine and proven program at both the Parkway Senior Center in Utica, as well as Mt. Carmel Apartments and Assn for the Blind for years. She was so faithful and attentive to all the residents and Parkway members, giving up precious retired hours for this health endeavor. We both had to discontinue leading the class due to our own health issues. I will miss her and that sweet smile. God be with you all...Janet George
