Coach Ryan left former players with a lot of great memories of our experiences playing for him on the RFA JV Football Team. I played for him as a 9th grader in 1981. He had a way of getting the best out of us at practice and during games through humor. Some practices we even had pajama days. Some of my favorite expressions that I still use today came from Coach Ryan: Ok girls put your bonnets on! You look like a one legged man in an a-- kicking contest. Your stance looks like a bird in a birdbath. You block like a run away bus. What are you doing, playing volleyball with the football. I'm certain that Coach Ryan has the angels lined up on the ball ready to call the 34 Belly! God Bless Coach Ryan and his family at this time.

Our deepest sympathy the Ryan family on the passing of Coach. He was a great human being who not only taught us sports but also respect, discipline, and how we should treat others . He taught us life lessons to ensure we would be great human beings ourselves. His wisdom will never be forgotten. May God hold you in his arms.
