Obituary of Frances P. Plesniarski

Frances P. Plesniarski, age 87, of Rome, passed away peacefully, April 28, 2015, at the Siegenthaler Center. She was born June 23, 1927, in Rome, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Skaratek Chmielewski, and was educated in Rome schools. Frances was united in marriage to Edward Plesniarski on February 15, 1969; he died several years later.. She was a longtime employee of the Marine Midland Bank in Rome. Frances was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, the Altar Rosary Society and Choir for many years. She also was an active volunteer in many of the Church activities. Frances is survived by a brother and sister in law, John and Adeline Chmielewski of St. Louis, MO. She also was a beloved and cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews, Paul Chmielewski, Mark (Cheryl) Chmielewski, Gary (Kim) Chmielewski, Diane Chmielewski Raber, Ron (Marci) Chmielewski, Debbie Chmielewski (Scott) Taubin and John (Melissa) Chmielewski. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Chmielewski. The family wishes to sincerely thank Frances's neighbors, Sari Verrenti, Brenda and Chris Klara, Joe Bien and Mike Manuele, for their years of neighborly friendship, care and love that allowed Frances to live comfortably in her home until her passing. A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held Friday at 1 PM at the Church of the Transfiguration. Relatives and friends may call at the Church, Friday 12:30 PM to 1 PM, prior to the funeral mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
