Obituary of Marjorie L. Bartlett
Marjorie L. Bartlett, age 84, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023, at Bethany Gardens.
Marjorie was born in Rome on August 23, 1939 to the late Walter and Pearl White Roser, and educated in the Rome Schools. On February 27, 1965 , she was united in marriage to Allan Bartlett at the Lee Center UMC; a blessed union of 44 years until his passing on May 3, 2009.
She was an avid bingo player enjoyed playing cards, crafting, and collecting knick knacks. She loved to dance with Allan and friends at the Megerell's Pole Barn, and listen to music especailly if it was coming from a jukebox.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Brenda Brown of Stafford, VA, and Princess Bartlett of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Nestle, and Jinnelle Frederick; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Jaidyn Nestle; sister, Cindy Tarbania; brother in law, Thomas McCarthy; sister in law Janet Chrysler; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Brown and Pauline McCarthy; and brother, Carl Roser.
The family would like to thank Marjorie's sister in law, Janet Chrysler, her neighbors, John and Mary VanLieshout, Bob and Deedee from Gone Coastal, and the staff at Bethany Gardens for all their love, care, food, and friendship shown to Marjorie and her family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 12 Noon, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lee Center Vol. Fire Department.
