Michael Siler posted a condolence
Thursday, May 30, 2024
My name is Michael Siler I am the youngest son of Larry's brother Robert Siler. My father and Larry had not spoken to each other for I think about 40 years and they had a falling out when they were younger. When my father found out that their brother Ernest had passed away my brother Jay and I set it up and we took my father up to New York for Ernest funeral. I hadn't seen Uncle Larry since I was a little kid but my father was very nervous about going. I could tell you this my father passed away in 2019 and that trip to New York and visiting with his brother made his whole world. I was always curious about Uncle Larry and after spending time with him and talking with him I quite enjoyed it. Finding out that he was a starch hard conservative we had some very interesting conversations about the president at the time and I did quite enjoy getting to meet him as an adult. My father died on March 30th of 2019 which just so happens to be Larry's birthday. And in Reading the obituary Larry passed away on August 15th of 2021 August 15th just happens to be my father's birthday. I believe that's not a coincidence but a very very interesting fact the two brothers passed away on each other's birthdays. I'm very sorry to hear about his passing we did keep in touch for a while through email and I feel a loss of not being able to communicate with him to find out more about him our father's side of the family and about our father as a child. Condolences to the whole family and maybe one day we could reach out to his children and maybe all of us could get together. Rest in peace Uncle Larry.
