I can't believe my Uncle Joe is gone. What an amazing man!! To have grown up and survived the Grande girls both sisters as well as daughters proves the man was a piller of strength!! I will always remember dinners at my Grandmas, especially on Christmas Eve with the whole family having a ball. I loved swimming in Uncle Joe's pool. I will miss you, Uncle Joe. I love you- Kristin Kinne Hall

When I would come over to visit Carol (and the rest of the family), Joe would hand me the keys to the family car, and tell me to go get someone or take someone somewhere,...and go ahead and do something,....so one day in the winter, in the middle of a snow storm we were on the Rome-Taberg Rd. and I ended up off the road, stuck in a snow bank, (with a car load of kids)....I was so worried Joe would be mad, but he just laughed after he knew everyone was ok, and told me the car would be fine,...I didn't realize it then but I do now that some of the best moments in my life were sitting in the living room with Mrs. G and Joe...(and then Carol would come home and we'd go in the den), it was a great honor to know someone like Joe (and Mrs. G and the rest of the family) I will never forget that time in my life

I'll always remember his advice and tips on how to get along with cops (usually with a scowl and tongue in cheek). It probably saved me a couple of tickets. But it was his willingness to look for the best in society's worst and his dedication to service that I'll remember best. I could go on, of course, but I just want to send my condolences to Anne, Mary Beth, Jeanne, Carol, Susan and Paul.
